Today's Pick: "Smooth Sailin" Three-Team Parlay (+335)
I am stacking up three games today for a shot at a (+335) payout. I like all three picks and from what I reckon, this ticket has as good of a shot at cashing as any of the other bets I have delivered this season. So, let's put it on.
I would like to make this clear. Resignation to what I would consider forces outside of my control is in no way "winging it" -- I put in my work today and researched the games thoroughly. I settled on these three picks as being the best value and the best bets on the board.
KCR (-115) ML @ MIN
I like Seth Lugo. Lugo (2-4) hasn't posted spectacular numbers this season and had a rocky flight across the month of May but he put in some good work in his last start in Fort Worth on May 30th. Lugo went six innings against the Rangers, only allowed one earned run, struck out six batters and didn't issue a walk. It was Lugo's third quality start in a row. If Lugo can get six innings tonight, the Royals will be in good position to win this game.
Minnesota is throwing a bullpen game and their bullpen is a motely collection of arms assembled from Tampa Bay castaways and LA drift wood. Minnesota's bullpen is 28th in the league in xFIP (expected Fielding Independent Pitching) since May 1st. xFIP is a good way to assess a bullpen's overall effectiveness and xFIP says Minnesota's bullpen didn't pitch all that well in May.
I like KC to get a road win tonight and like the price on the Moneyline at (-115). Game time is 6:40 PM CDT from the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN.
LAD (-140) ML @ AZD
Dodgers are in Arizona for the final game of a four-game series with the Snakes. Dodgers are up 2-1 in the series after a 7-0 win in last night's game. Justin Wrobleski (7-2) starts for LA. Wrobleski hasn't tallied strikeouts in '26 like he did in the '25 season but something clicked in his last start against the Phillies on May 29th and I'm betting that it carries over tonight in the desert. He only allowed one hit and recorded nine strikeouts in that game and that was good for a win. Wrobleski has pitched better under the lights and will take the ball tonight in what is the Thursday Night Game of the Week.
Ryne Nelson (2-4) has been a mixed bag this season. Nelson has been hittable, allowing 21 hits and six home runs over his last 20.1 innings of work. He hasn't been missing many bats and has only recorded 9 strikeouts over his Last3 starts. Dodgers can run Nelson out of the game early tonight and the D'Backs bullpen isn't all that formidable.
The price on this game at (-140) looks good. To get the Dodgers at (-140), there is value in that no matter who is starting the game for LA. Their bullpen is a top10 group and their offense has been the best in MLB this season. If there was an ace on the mound against Wrobleski, (-140) would be a good price. It's Ryne Nelson on the mound and he hasn't thrown the ball like an ace.
I like the price on this game tonight. It's a 6:40 PM CDT start from Chase Field in Phoenix, AZ.
ATL (-275) ML vs. TOR
Chris Sale (4-1) starts for Atlanta. Sale is as good of an option to start a game as any pitcher in MLB. Sale has all the awards and accolades a man could ever ask for. He is a first-ballot hall of famer and at age 37 continues to throw the ball as well as he ever has. In five May starts, Sale posted a 1.69 ERA, a 0.97 WHIP and an 11.81 K/9.
The Blue Jays are throwing a bullpen game. They have their top5 well rested but a three-game series with the Baltimore Orioles is looming this weekend and Blue Jays manager, John Schnieder, isn't going to cash his entire bullpen to win an interleague game.
I like Atlanta tonight. Sale can win this game with seven innings. Schnieder and the Jays will take a loss in lieu of rest ahead of a big series against the Orange Birds of Baltimore.
The long odds at (-275) aren't all that nice but this game pays well on the end of a three-team parlay. If we bet KC and LA as a two-teamer, it's a (+220) payout. Adding Atlanta to our parlay at (-275) adds (+115) to our ticket. What that says to me is that I'm getting (+115) on Chris Sale and the Braves tonight and I like those odds. First pitch at 6:15 PM CDT at Truist Park in Atlanta, GA.
All together it's a three-team parlay that pays out at (+335). Print that ticket.
