Today's Pick: "Slump Buster" Two-Team Parlay (+166)
I like two games tonight and am going to play a two-team parlay at (+166). I feel like I'm getting a good price on both games. Both my pitchers tonight are throwing the ball exceptionally well. I need a slump buster tonight. This bet looks good. I'm going to hit it.
PHI (-170) ML @ TOR
Christopher Sanchez (7-2) takes the ball for Philadelphia. Sanchez has posted freaky numbers, comparable to Misiorowski. Over his Last5 starts: 0.24 ERA, a 0.76 WHIP and a 14.33 K/BB ratio. He has only allowed three home runs in 86.1 innings this season. Phillies' bullpen took some damage on Sunday but Sanchez has gone 7.0 innings or more in six straight starts.
Patrick Corbin (2-2) has thrown some good innings for the Jays this season but the veteran has only pitched six or more once all year. The Blue Jays will likely be into the bullpen early. The Bluebirds' bullpen could lock it down. Fluharty, Fisher and Hoffman are all available but they are short on relief tonight. Rogers and Varland have both thrown back-to-backs and are unlikely to pitch.
Phillies are swinging the bats and are winning games. An appearance from the Jeff Hoffman Explosion is always a possibility. I like the Phillies tonight. It's a 6:07 PM CDT start at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, ON, Canada.

Kyle Harrison (7-2) starts for Milwaukee. He's pitched well on the road all season and his Last5 are as good as any pitcher in MLB. He's posted a 0.54 ERA, a 0.78 WHIP and an 11.66 K/9. That's about as good as you can pitch in this league. His 2.04 FIP is good for 6th best amongst starters with 20 or more innings pitched since May 1st. At (-150), for a pitcher who has posted a sub 1.00 ERA over his last 32.2 innings, it is difficult to find a reason to pass at that price.
Jeffrey Springs (3-6) starts for the A's. Springs has been serviceable for the A's but has posted a 1.42 WHIP and a 2.42 HR/9 over his Last5 starts. That is a recipe for runs allowed. The Brewers don't hit the long ball like some of the big market teams but they do have some power in their lineup. Bauers can poke it out of the park. Vaughn has a little slug in his game. Chourio is back and hit a pair of dingers last week against the Giants.
Brewers bullpen is in good shape tonight. Brewers are swinging the bats well, .319/.413/.541 as a team over the past week. The A's have hit .207/.278/.369 collectively over the same period.
Only the Braves have a better road record this season than the Brewers. This game lines up well and the price looks nice at (-150).
It's a 9:05 PM CDT start from Sutter Health Park in Sacramento, CA.
A two-team parlay to open the new week. It's a nice bet. Let's see if we can get a win tonight. Bust that slump!
