Practice Pick 12: KCR (-130) ML @ CHW

White Sox are hot, winners of four in a row.  They are eerily reminiscent of the Los Angeles Angels.  5th in the league in home runs, 8th in walks, 24th in batting average.  I had thought that strategy could work out for the Angels.  A quick look to the standing shows them 12 games below .500 at 16-28.  The White Sox winning ways are also likely to be short lived.

Kris Bubic (3-1) starts for Kansas City.  When Bubic is strong and when he gets it going, he has been tough to beat.  Bubic has posted five quality starts on the season, including seven innings of 2-hit baseball against the White Sox earlier this year. Bubic struck out 11 in that game.

Anthony Kay (2-1) is a Nippon return who has at times looked like he belongs in Japan.  While he has also litched some good innings this season his 4.89 ERA and 1.57 WHIP are indicative of his abilities.  He isn't much better than those numbers.

Good odds on the Royals tonight at (-130) with Bubic on the mound.  Royals bullpen is well rested at the top.  White Sox bullpen has thrown 138 pitches over the past two games.

I like Bubic to shut down the Chicago's lefty-bats and like the Royals to win this game.  I'm going to try and listen to the game tonight on the radio.  Sox and the Royals in a 6:10 PM CDT start from Rate Field in Chicago, IL.

Its still the preseason for the Pickstreak.  There is no hard date to go live with the bets.  When I feel good and am ready to start making live picks, I'll begin buying into the sportsbook accounts.

Still enjoying the preseason.  Its been fun.  I dont feel as much pressure and that is nice.
