Pick Result: "Tuesday Tripler" Parlay - WIN
Yankees crushed the Royals 15-1. Reds got out to an early lead and cruised to a 7-2 victory over the Mets.
Two of three games in the bag. I tuned into the Twins / White Sox game. It's a 2-2 score in the bottom of the tenth inning, runners at the corners, one out, Munetaka Murakami at the plate. Twins' closer Taylor Rogers on the mound.
A base hit and my parlay bet is in the bin. I had a tinge of optimism on my plate smothered in defeat. I was braced for the loss.
Murakami grounds into a double-play to end the 10th inning. I was in a state of disbelief. Twins caught a break and my parlay bet was still alive. I was charged with hope.
In the top of the 11th, Orlando Arcia is the Manfred Runner. Luke Keaschell leads off with a base hit. Runners at the corners with nobody out. James Outman strikes out. Byron Buxton walks. Bases are loaded with one down. Twins' third baseman, Brooks Lee, steps in the batter's box.
A bases-clearing double! 5-2 Twins! Wholly Molie! After six losses in a row, a win is within reach for the Pickstreak Blog.
White Sox would make it interesting in the bottom half of the 11th but the Twins held on for a 5-3 win.
Our "Tuesday Tripler" Parlay cashes in and it was a nice hit. The ticket paid 5.35 units. The hard work paid off last night. We got a little luck but it was our effort that multiplied it into a payday.
It's a full slate of games today. All 30 teams are in action. I am running behind some but am working to get my posts in before the evening games start. Stay tuned for Game Day and a pick later this afternoon.

I bought in for 50 units to begin the season. This funded the Current Account. That is my bankroll. I don't keep the bankroll in the Sportsbook Account. Funds are deposited to the Sports Account 1.0 units at a time and only when the Sportsbook Account balance reaches 0.0 units.
That is how I manage my bet size and manage risk over the course of the season.
With the win yesterday, my Sportsbook Account balance grew to 5.35 units. I transferred 4.0 units from the Sportsbook Account to the Bank Account. Moving units from the Current Account to the Bank Account is the premise of my game. To finish the season with 50+ units in the Bank Account constitutes a winning season.
It is a system in itself, managing the bankroll. I find it to be very effective in pacing my bets and managing risk over the course of a long season.
It is nice to put some units in the bank. After the withdrawal, I am left with 1.35 Units in Play. That is the most I can risk on Today's Pick.
The jenky ledgers may be difficult to follow but it is what Pickstreak is about. My goal is to be beat the odds over the course of an entire season. Making picks everyday and posting a profit at the end of the year. In accomplishing that goal, we will have beaten the odds set by the bookmakers.
It isn't the same as getting lucky. I want to put it on the line day after day and come out on top at the end. In that way, there is a skill to it. I can feel good about the accomplishment because it will be unique to my own efforts and my abilities. That is why I play. To win the game.
The game also creates a challenging set of assignments each day. I am continuously researching statistics, reading articles and writing blog posts in an effort to accomplish my goal of beating the bookies.
It is a lot of work. Writing the blog posts is the caveat for me. No matter how I fare with the bets, if I can write entertaining and informative blog posts and create a source of amusement for my audience, and improve my abilities as a writer and a blogger, I gain an invaluable skill in the process of playing a game that I find to be enjoyable and challenging.
That is why I created this Pickstreak Blog. That is what this blog is all about.
There are handicappers who have concerns about others following their advice and their picks and suffering gambling losses as a result. I have those concerns as well but I'm not prepared to accept anybody elses losses. Gamblers lose often. Some win. Every pick I make is in good faith that it will be a winning pick. I have no malicious intents with sharing my picks. There are no guarantees. If you are gambling, only risk what you can afford to lose.
You can survive without money, without a car, without a home, without friends, without family, I have done it for many years. If you lose it all, go steal yourself a backpack, steal a new outfit, steal some socks and underwear, steal yourself some new shoes, steal a toothbrush and a hygiene kit, steal some of those wet wipes to wipe your ass and some hand sanitizer to keep your hands clean, steal yourself a good meal or two and a six-pack of good beer and find a nice place to sleep. It isn't the end of the world. If you keep going you'll make it to a new day. That way is a reality in my life. I've done it. I've lived it.
Back to the Pickstreak and the picks. I set out to win this season over the course of the entire season and to enjoy the summer in the process. I play to win but my most important goal is to enjoy my days. One day at a time.
