Update on the Nightly Recap

I was in my camp chair Wednesday night, the weather was nice and cool, I had a good wifi connection.  I started digging into the boxscores and was ready to put together my first nightly recap and was thwarted.

Information overload!  What am I looking for?  

My first inclination was to write a 50-word recap of each game but that is sort of redundant.  It isn't what I am setting out to accomplish with my nightly recap.  I don't want to report the scores.  I want to dig out the valuable information.

I'm looking for outlier performances, both good and bad.  What starters posted quality starts?  What starters bombed?  Who had a great day at the plate?  Who has a hitting streak?  Who is in a slump?

I'd like to address the bullpens in someway and roster transactions.  I'd like to highlight team trends.  

I gave up on the post Wednesday night.  I don't like staying up late.  I am usually racked by 9PM.  I don't have my sources for player and team trends.  

The nightly recap has been tabled and the preseason has been extended to May 1st.  I hope to come up with something in regards to this over the next week.  

2-2 on practice picks, hopefully will get in a few more before we go live action next Friday.
