Game Day: Tuesday, April 28th
We are still in the preseason at MLB Pickstreak and the Nightly Recap is giving me some trouble. It has clogged my flow some.
I had an idea that I would also open each morning with a quick post. I call it "Game Day" -- and this post will be a quick synopsis of the slate.
My goal for this post is to do as little research as possible. I want on write the post entirely from my first impressions on the day's schedule and the morning odds.
It should take me no more than fifteen minutes to write this post so in that way it shouldn't be too difficult to manage.
That gives me four daily posts:
--Game Day
--Today's Picks
--Postgame Report
--Nightly Recap
Most days I only play one pick. I plan to stick to that regiment of one pick a day. Its an integral part of my system. On occassion that pick may be a two-team parlay or a three team parlay.
Last season, I attempted to exclude the parlay picks from the "current streak" because they are difficult bets to win. This season, all bets are included in the streak. If I have a seven game winning streak on the line and make a parlay bet, it counts against the winning streak.
I'll still keep separate records. A season total for straight wagers and a season total for parlay bets.
The occassional parlays I played last year didn't pay off but the more I thought about it this off season, a parlay or two at the beginning of a streak can really amplify the compounding. It is a strategy that I am going to employ more liberally this season.
It's Tuesday, I'm going to try and post a full slate tomorrow. A Game Day post first thing in the morning, a Practice Pick, a Postgame Report, and a Nightly Recap.
Let's see how it goes.
