Today's Pick: BOS (-255) over MIA

The Red Sox will look to sweep the Fish out of Boston in a 12:35 PM CDT start at Fenway Park.

The Saux have been as hot as any team in MLB.  They are 26-12 since July 1st.  17-3 at Fenway Park.  They play real good at home and have their ace on the mound this afternoon.

Garrett Crochet (13-5) starts for Boston.  The big lefty with the high leg kick has been as good as any pitcher in MLB this season.  He could win his first Cy Young with a strong effort into October.  The Marlins have nine righties in against Crochet today.  I think it's easy work for him.  He has excellent command and can work the outside of the plate all day.  Without have to switch up his modality, Crochet will get it rolling and ace the Fish.

It's Janson Junk for the Marlins.  Junk has excellent command and sports one of the lowest BB/9 ratios amongst qualifying starters in MLB.  He also throws a lot of junk.  His slider, sweeper and curveball account for 60 percent of his pitches.  He has only worked 90 innings or more twice in his career.  As the season wears on, the effectiveness of his breaking ball has diminished and Junk works in the zone all game.  It has led to some hard contact, a few long balls and more than a few earned runs.

Both bullpens are in good shape today.  The Fish should have Faucher, Bender, Bachar and Henriquez, their four best.  Whitlock, Wilson, Weissert and Matz are all available for Boston.

The edge is in the starting pitching matchup and with the bats.  Look for Roman Anthony to cross the plate a couple times this afternoon.  The rookie has a .405 on base percentage and can poke the ball out of the yard.

I like the Red Sox to win this one.  A sweep is sweet.  I'm going to press it all and lay the long odds for a nice payday.
