Postgame Report: MIA (+105) Loss
This moneyline MLB Gambling game is difficult. I liked the pick and really wanted to post a seven game winning streak. The loss is a six unit swing. Had I cashed a ticket yesterday I would have racked five units. It would have put me close to my break even goal on the season.
As it stands, I have banked 32 units and have 8 units remaining in my sportsbook account. I bought in for 40 units at the beginning of the season. I am technically even on the season but have to put the remaining eight units into play and have to get them moved to the bank. It's sort of like Parcheesi. I always liked that game. It's a simple board game but a good one.
As it is, the Marlins lost last night. The Fish gave Cabrera a 3-0 lead in the top of the first and he gave it back in the bottom half of the inning. Cabrera gets a little wild when he gets stressed. It is the main cause of his inconsistencies. He is hard on himself and at times it has an affect on his concentration. I give him a lot of credit last night. The three earned runs in the first rattled him but he got it together and pitched three clean frames before Cleveland got to him again in the bottom of the fifth. They scored two more, five earned on the night charged to Cabrera.
It was a 5-4 game into the seventh. Tanner Bibee was the pitcher of record for Cleveland having thrown 5.2 innings. He didn't have a great game either. It what I expected from Bibee. He pitched his game and gets the win.
The Fish went to Valente Bellozo in the seventh. I thought they'd give the ball to Faucher or Bender but it was Bellozo. He got tagged for four earned. 9-4 Guardians after seven.
That would be it. The Guardians had some good arms available in the bullpen. It was Sabrowski, Enright, Gaddis and Smith. They've been good all season and they locked it down last night. The Marlins loaded the bases in the fourth and the ninth but couldn't get the big hits last night.
I give this win to the Guardians bullpen. They brought it home last night. Cabrera earns the loss. He pitched ok but he got out of his rythem in the first and the fifth and it cost him.
I'm going to reload the account and take a quick look at the slate of games for tonight. It's getting late in the afternoon, so I might take a pass and play a pick or two tomorrow.
We are down to the wire here. I have been playing the picks for four months now and I've worked hard to post a winning season.
I feel have lost the big games all season and it's cost me a good amount. I feel like I should be up 10 to 15 units but as it stands I'm even and need to stay focused over the next six weeks to bring home a winning season.
