Today's Pick: No Pick Today

I didn't like any games today.  I didn't look too closely but at first glance there wasn't much to go on.

I've got to switch my modality some here midseason.  Starting pitchers are getting tired arms and it's coming into play more and more frequently.  I've noticed that a lot of road favorites are losing.  Pitchers and players are getting tired of being on the road.  

The all-star break should help with the fatigue some but there are two and half months to play and the second half is a grinder of long days in the hot sun.  

I'll be looking more at home teams in the second half, leaning towards home favorites with the occassional home dog thrown in.  

All-star break, a lot of players missed the cut that deserve to be there.  A few players got in that don't.  

As far as Shane Smith getting the nod for the White Sox, there are twenty pitchers in the AL that have pitched better than Shane Smith this season that aren't on the team.  Every team has to be represented, I think the nod for the White Sox should have went to Mike Tauchman.  

I think the managers and players should pick the entire team.  The fan vote is crike.
