Postgame Report: HOU (-200) Loss
The Rockies spoil my plans for a big day with a 7-6 win over Houston. I had planned on racking some profits, and pressing a unit on the Brewers for some plus money in a 6:10 CDT start at Citi Field in New York. The loss wipes out a 3.39 unit payout and what could have potentially been four units in the bank with a Brewer's win. It's a big loss.
I really liked Brandon Walter and the way he has pitched over his first five starts. I thought his game really setup well for Coors Field. The Astros bats scored six runs, it should have been good enough. Walter didn't allow any walks but got nailed for eight hits and five earned runs.
Kyle Freeland posted a quality start and the Rockies offense had a good day at the plate. Credit Freeland and Thiaro Estrada for the win today. Estrada went 3-4 with a homer and four RBIs.
Im going to pass on the slate of games this evening, as much as I like the Brewers at +140, it now feels like I'm chasing a loss as opposed to taking advantage of a good price on a game that I think the Brewers should be favored in.
Back to the board tomorrow. All star break starts July 14th. Ten days of games before the mid summer classic.
