Today's Pick: TOR (-105) over BOS

I am out of sorts in some way, haven't been feeling good, stress has been getting to me.  Im letting the numbers get to me more than I should.  I had a goal to be 35-15, up ten units at the end of July.  I was well on my way to reaching that goal but have gone 1-4 over my last five picks.  

I had planned on taking a few days off but am feeling jumpy in a way.  I can't seem to shake off whatever is bothering me so I've decided to play through it.  

I like the Blue Jays today.  I don't love the Blue Jays today.  The Red Sox scored 15 runs off them in yesterday's game but Eric Lauer, who starts for Toronto, has pitched well since being stretched out.  Lauer enters with a 2.21 ERA on the season and a 1.01 WHIP.  The Blue Jays have a well rested bullpen, they have three or four pitchers in relief, if needed. 

Walker Buehler starts for Boston.  If you look at Buehler's stats on the season, you'll notice an inflated ERA of 6.29.  He has been worse in June posting an ERA of 11.57 over 16.1 innings.  He has averaged just 4.0 innings per start over his last four.  Boston's bullpen is well rested and they have some good arms but picking on Buehler is justified by his poor performance to date.

The Red Sox have been one of the weakest offensive teams in baseball prior to last night's scoring barrage, their lineup is soft.  

So is the Blue Jays but it's another bad start from Buehler that we are counting on.  

I like the pick.  You have to play through a little pain in MLB.  The greats play through minor injuries and find a way.  

I'm still disapointed in my emotional tirade yesterday but am back on my feet this morning and am going to play through.  

One unit on the Blue Jays today in a 12:35 PM CDT start at Fenway Park in Boston -- it's a fair price ya chowdahead biscuit eatah.

Today's Pick: A 2 Team Parlay

I have 1.56 units in play after yesterday's quasi-disappointment.   I'm going to rack a unit, and play a two team parlay tonight.  I've been stuck on 32 units banked for two weeks now.   I can't stand the number 32.  It has everything to do with Magic Johnson.  I don't like magic and I don't like Johnson.   Anyhow, now that we have 33 units in the bank, I feel better. Jose Canseco wore number 33.  Still one of my favorite players of all time.   No analysis today, I'm just making a pick.  My season for the most part is over.  I have 0.56 units in play, 4.0 units in my account, and 33 units in the bank.   The pick is a parlay on the Astros (-350) ML / Blue Jays (-175) ML for a (+105) payout. Wednesday, August 6th: No Pick Today

No pick today, there isn't much on the board that I liked.  I didn't dig into any games but the Giants and the Pirates early this morning.  I liked the Giants but they don't hit left handed pitching all that well and Pirates had a well rested bullpen.  The Giants won that game 4-2.   I had thought about putting on my three dogs play with the Rangers, Reds and the Royals.  The Reds are down 6-0.  That would have been a loser.   There are some games later this afternoon and some late games too but I am going to take a pass on the action today and see if I can find a good spot tomorrow.   I'm sitting at 5.36 units in play and have a four game Pickstreak on the line.  We'll look to make it five in a row tomorrow.
