Today's Pick: SFG (-180) over CLE

The Giants have lost four in a row and are looking to avoid being swept by the Guardians this afternoon in a 3:05 CDT start at Oracle Park in San Francisco.

Logan Webb is starting for the Giants. The righty entered the season as San Francisco's ace and he has lived up to the billing.  Webb has posted a 2.58 ERA over fifteen starts and his FIP of 2.33 leads the NL.  His 5.25 K/BB ratio is excellent, 55.9% ground ball rates and he has only allowed 0.6HR/9.  Webb really dials it up at home holding opponents to a meager .313 OPS.  He has been one of the league's best starting pitchers this season.

Gavin Williams starts for Cleveland.  He'll throw nearly 60% breaking balls if you count his cutter as a breaking pitch.  It's a pitch mix that has led to a lot of walks, 5.1BB/9.  He hasn't pitched well on the road this season. With more than a few Kayakers in McCovey Cove waiting for him to hang a breaking ball, he will be overtly cautious today and it could lead to more than a few walks.

The Guardians bullpen is overworked.  Both Cade Smith and Emanuel Clase will likely be unavailable.  Hunter Gaddis may also be rested having thrown 27 pitches in Tuesday's game.  The Giants have four of their best relievers rested and available.

Rafael Devers will be looking for his first big fly at Oracle Park.  The Giants lineup looks formidable with Devers in the three hole.  With Logan Webb starting this afternoon, this game lines up well for San Francisco.  I like the price at (-180) and am going to press it all on the Giants to win.
