Postgame Report: SEA (+110) loss
Our pick was a loser and 2.2 units to boot. It was another bad loss for the Pickstreak but we racked four units on the last run so not all bad.
I really liked the pick, even in hindsight. Brandon Pfaadt got the breaks and Seattle's bullpen lost the game.
The Mariner's had runners in scoring position in each of the first five innings and they failed to drive any runs in. Logan Evans kept the game within reach, and the M's got to Pfaadt in the sixth with a pair of homers from Randy Arozarena and Jorge Polanco but the M's bullpen got shelled and the game was out of reach after six.
Arizona's offense has kept them hanging around this season but their pitching is bad. Pfaadt may have gotten through five without allowing a run but he wasn't any better than he has been. He is a four or a five at best. He picks up a win on the back of a good offense.
Seattle can't hit, and their bullpen isn't any good either. To bet on Seattle is always a high risk, you should get good odds to do so. The price was right on the game, I had a taste for the plus money, and was looking for a nice payoff. The snakes ate that tasty mouse and we are back to the board with one unit in play.
