Today's Pick: MIN (-120) over MIL
It will be another windy and cool night in Milwaukee. The Twins face off with the Brewers in game two of a three game series at American Family Field after taking game one 3-0 on a heck of start from ace Joe Ryan.
Tonight, it's Pablo Lopez for Minnesota. Make no mistake about it, Lopez is a big time strikeout pitcher. He has a 9.3K/9 over his MLB career. In '25, he has posted a very impressive 6.14 K/BB ratio.
Tobias Myers starts for Milwaukee. Myers posted reasonably good numbers for a rookie starter in 2024, and earned a spot in the Brewers rotation entering the '25 season but missed the first month of the season with an oblique strain. He's walked ten batters in 16.1 innings pitched, and has allowed nearly a hit an inning for a 1.53 WHIP. His K/BB ratio of 1.10 is way off last year's mark of 3.53. It's a limited sample size but he isn't throwing the ball all that well.
The Brewers struck out 16 times in yesterday's game. With Lopez starting, and lefty Danny Coloumbe well rested, I like the Twins to record double digit strikeouts in tonight's game too.
The Twins are fired up to play, winning streaks have that effect on teams. I don't think Myers is the stopper tonight. I like the Twins to make it 13 in a row and I like the price at (-125). I'm going to press it all on the Twins to win.
