Today's Pick: DET (-120) over LAA

The Angels who have lost five straight host the Detroit Tigers in game one of a three game series.  Off-season acquisition Yusei Kikuchi starts for Anaheim.  He is 0-5 on the season and has had control problems early at 5.17BB/9.

Casey Mize starts for Detroit.  He gave up eight hits in his last start against the Orioles but limited the damage with no walks allowed.  Mize has posted a 2.12BB/9 ratio and a 1.04 WHIP on the season.  He limits baserunners and when he gets in a jam he has the mindset and the tools to pitch out of it.  He is a true ace.

Detroit's lineup might not be stacked with superstars but the Tigers have a good offense.  The Angels team OBP of .271 is the worst mark in MLB.

I like Detroit to win today and the price is nice at (-120).
