Postgame Report: Twins (-125) Winner

The Twins blanked the Brewers for the second night in a row.

Since April 22nd, the Twins are 19-5 with a +51 run differential.  They are the current holders of MLB's longest winning streak at 13 games. Minnesota is still four back of the Detroit Tigers  in the AL Central but the winning streak has put them back in contention for the AL Central division title.  The Tigers have the best record in the all of baseball at 30-16.

In last night's 7-0 victory, Pablo Lopez only allowed two hits and stuck out six.  The Brewers bullpen notched three clean frames, adding another four strikeouts.  The Twins outhit the Brewers 18-3 on the night.

In the series, The Twins have been without their allstar SS, Carlos Correa.  Brooks Lee has moved to SS, and it has been Kody Clemens filling in at second base.  The Twins traded for Clemens in early April.  Since joining the club, Clemens has hit .303/.395/.636 in 38 at bats.  It is some what of a breakout for the 29 year old utility infielder who was primarily used off the bench in three seasons in Philadelphia. Clemens went 3-5 with a home run in last night's win in Milwaukee.

The Pickstreak blog hasn't had a decent winning streak for a while now but we have put a couple wins together this weekend and enter Sunday with a 17-8 record on the season, up 1.0 units on my initial investment, with 2.19 units in play.  Let's see if we can make it three in a row.

*I raked another unit, and have now banked 10 units on the season.
