Postgame Report: LAD (-180) Winner
I forgot to put my postgame report in prior to today's pick. It's unusual, but I got derailed earlier by a rain storm. My office is a patch of gravel out in a field across from the hardware store. I get a good wifi signal here. I prefer it to the coffee shop.
The Dodgers won last night 7-2. Yamamoto pitched 6.0IP, struck out seven and only allowed three hits on the night. He racked up his sixth win of the season. It was his seventh quality start (6.0IP or more, 3.0ER or less).
Gavin Williams was exposed somewhat by a Dodger's team that can hit one thru nine. He was afraid to lay his fastball in the zone and walked six Dodger hitters on the night. Williams only allowed four hits in the game but exited in the fourth with a pitch count of 109 and a 4-1 deficit.
The Dodgers would add another three runs off the Guardian's bullpen. LA's relief corp combined for three clean frames to make it final.
It was a good pick, knowing Gavin Williams would have to lay that fastball in the zone, or pitch around a Dodger's lineup that has posted a .350 OBP on the season.
2.04 units in play and a two game Pickstreak on the line. Back to the board tomorrow.
