Postgame Report: ARI (-275) Loss

Even the worst offense in baseball can get a few hits off Diamondback's reliever Kevin Ginkel.

I've been a part of two games now where Ginkel has gotten absolutely blown up.

Corbin Burnes had a good start too, pitching seven innings, only two earned runs, struck out six.  He exited in the eighth with a comfortable 6-2 lead.

Enter Kevin Ginkel.  Four hits and walk later and the game was tied at six.  Jalen Beeks couldn't escape the barrage, he was dinged for a three run homer before the Snakes could slither out of the eighth inning.

Ginkel has been one of Arizona's most reliable bullpen arms over the past two seasons.  Looking at his game log for the '25 season, he has pitched well outside of a pair of five run shellings.

It's a tough loss, a blown save in a way, up four in the eighth. Arizona's bullpen has been a crux all season.  Blown saves are the pits.

Credit the Pirates for putting together some hits and snatching a win right out of the mouths of the Diamondbacks.  It's a tough loss for a team that has now dropped six of their last seven games.

Back to the board tomorrow.
