Postgame Report: PHI (-325) Loses
Our first pickstreak of the year ends at 1. That won't produce any profits but nonetheless is a likely occurance. Even with the odds stacked in your favor, you'll lose thirty percent of the time.
The Phillies got out to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning and made it 4-1 in the fourth. With the early lead, Jesus Luzardo pitched well, seven innings, two earned runs and seven strike outs but the Phillies bullpen couldn't hold the lead.
Orion Kerkering had another bad outing, giving up a three run home run to Javier Sonoja in the 8th. The Phillies would go on to tie the game in the bottom half of the inning but Miami's bullpen would hold the ninth and the Marlins got a pair of runs in the tenth to secure the win 7-5.
It was a dissappointing loss. I checked the scores in the seventh and had thought that Philly would close it out. Back to the board tomorrow.
