Today's Pick: PHI (-325) over MIA

I reviewed the board this morning and there are a few interesting games to look at.  Max Fried starts for the Yankees and is out to a 3-0 start but the Rays have been hitting the ball as well as any team in the MLB.  Last night the Rays scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth and won on a walk off homer from red hot Jonathan Aranda.  I like the pitching match up, I like Max Fried, but the Rays have the momentum after last night's dramatic late inning comeback and will look to split a four game series with the Yankees this afternoon at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa.  Pass.

I also looked at Tarik Skubal at home vs. Michael Wacha and the Royals.  The price on the first place Tigers and the reigning AL Cy Young is good at (-205) but the Royals have seen a lot of Skubal and have had their success.  Wacha has also pitched well against Detroit.  I like the Tigers here but will look elsewhere.  Pass.

Today's pick is the Phillies (-325) over the Marlins in a day game at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, PA.  Jesus Luzardo starts for the Phillies and he has been everything they hoped he would be when they traded for him this offseason.  He'll face his former team and righty Connor Gillispie.  Gillispie is a bit of a soft tosser, relying primarily on a sweeper and a changeup to get soft contact.  He does get some chase with his off speed stuff but Philly has some of the best lefty power in the game in Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber.  I like the Phillies to sweep the Marlins today.
