Today's Pick: DET (-120) over BAL

Our three dog parlay went 2-3.  The Giants soured our brew with two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to beat Milwaukee 6-5.  The White Sox picked up a nice win over the Twins 3-0 in a rain shortened game in Minnesota, and rookie Shane Smith picked up his first career win.  The Rule 5 selection has been the White Sox best starting pitcher.  The Rays beat the D'Backs 7-4 in extras.

Today's pick is Detroit (-120) over Baltimore.  The pick is mostly predicated in my belief that Casey Mize is a legitimate ace.  Mize throws a five pitch mix that includes a 95 MPH sinker and one of the best splitters in the game.  The first overall pick in the 2018 MLB draft is beginning to show us his best stuff.  Mize is 3-1 on the season.

He'll face rookie Brandon Young who was brought up in desperation by an Orioles team that has had issues with their starting rotation.  Young gave up seven hits, three walks and a homer over four innings in his first MLB start against Cincinnati last week.

Detroit was off yesterday.  They bring a 15-10 record into today's game and are 10-3 at Comerica Park.  Baltimore travels having just dropped a series in DC and carry in a road record of 5-8 on the season.

I like the Tigers to put another loss on the Orioles and I like the price at (-120).
