Pick Two: PHI (-115) over CHC

The Tigers currently lead the Orioles 4-3 in the eighth.  I have decided to keep my Phillies pick on even with the line moving to (-115) but only if the Tiger's game concludes prior to the 3:05 PM start.

The Cubs have probably hit the ball as well as any team in baseball.  Looks like they are going with a righty heavy lineup against Luzardo.  Justin Turner gets the start at first.  I think this plays in Philadelphia's favor today with the Cubs sitting everyday first baseman Michael Busch.  Busch has hit well of late.

The lefty Jesus Luzardo starts for the A's.  He has had good control and has been racking up K's all season.  Ben Brown starts for the Northsiders.  His two pitch mix is limited and his four seam fastball has been hittable. Brown's out pitch is a knuckle curve that has been good when it is on but it also has led to a high walk rate.  The Phillies take a lot of walks and tee off on fastballs.  If Brown has his knuckle curve under control, he could get through five innings. If he doesn't, it will be a long day.

I don't like the price, I was sold on the plus money that was posted early, but pick two is on pending the Tigers victory.

Today's Pick:  PHI (-115) over CHI
Total Units In Play: 3.6
Units Wagered: .8
Ticket Pays:  1.5 units (+ 0.7 units)
Current Streak:  3
Longest Streak: 3

Total Units Wagered (Season):  9.23 units
Current Account Balance:  37 units
Beginning Account Balance:  40 units
Total Units Raked (season):  2 units
Profit / Loss (season):  -1 unit
Overall Record:  5-2

*I added a new statistic to my pick report, "Units Wagered" will now represent the amount wagered on the pick.  Total Units in Play will represent my current open equity, or what could otherwise be phrased as open profits.  The seperation is required in order to allow for a wager that is less than the full value of my current open profits.  For example, I have won 3.6 units over the current three game pickstreak.  PHI (-115) over CHC is my fourth pick of the current pickstreak.  I only risked .8 units of this pick.  The remainder (2.8 units) is still in play.  If I lose pick four, the pickstreak ends.  Any units in play remaining will be avilailable to begin the next pickstreak.

Only units that have been raked and my current account balance can be considered as closed equity.  Those values are out of play during an active pickstreak.  If units in play goes to a zero balance, only one unit can be added from the current account balance.  Seperating my accounts in this manner creates a limitations that assist me in managing risk and volatility.
